Fitnex have been behind the scenes making top quality fitness equipment for years. They have managed to stay 'under -the-radar' because they were too busy making machines for large, well-known fitness equipment companies that were eager to put their own label on the top quality Fitnex equipment, and sell it as their own.
Fitnex are not allowed to say who those companies are - but let's just say they are among the biggest names in the industry, names that everyone knows and trusts.
Fitnex have recently decided to come 'out of the shadows' and begin selling equipment, direct to the consumer, using their very own label. This is probably the best timing you will ever have to buy from these guys for the following reasons:
- They still have no reputation in the marketplace, so their prices are set low to get a foothold. We estimate most of their prices are 12-18% undervalued. In our experience, once a company builds reputation, it soon increase its prices.
- They are still selling direct from their warehouse. Large fitness equipment companies no longer deal direct with the consumer, instead only supplying retailers: Hoist, BodySolid and, BodyCraft are all examples of well-known companies that no longer 'deal' direct with customers. Finding a dealer willing to deal direct with you is great because:
- There is no middleman adding his 'cut'
- The after-sales service is direct from the manufacturer, no one will ever know the machine better than them (and the T30 has a lifetime warranty).
Features of the Fitnex T30 Treadmill
The first thing you notice about Fitnex equipment is it is very attractive. Before you even get on any of their stuff, you are first impressed by its color, style and sleek design. It looks HOT!.. if you know what I mean.
The T30 has all the features you would expect in a treadmill in this price range, but it sets itself apart with some additional features you'd usually only find on a more expensive unit.
Let's start with the more standard features:
- Running belt size: 17.5" x 52" (45cm x 130cm) - big enough for comfortable full stride running
- Running area: 19.5" x 50" (50cm x 127cm) - plenty of room to stride out at full pace, no problems.
- Elevation: 0~12% - beats the standard range in this price bracket which is 0-8 or 10%. 400lbs / 182kgs.
- Speed: 0.5~10MPH / 0.8~16KPH - a good marathon pace for normal people is about 8.5 minutes per mile (7.1MPH / 11.3 KPH), a brisk jog is about 7 minutes per mile (8.6MPH / 13.7KPH). The top speed of the T30 is equal to a 6 minute mile, that's fast!
- Motor: 2.2HP Continuous Duty - a big engine, big enough not to wear out or over-heat from regular use. The continuous operation features ensures a smooth steady pace. Some smaller engines have intermittent operation to allow the engine to rev-down and avoid overheating.
- Motor Control: PWM (pulse width modulator) system - with a PWM circuit a variable
amount of power is transferred to the load. The main advantage of a PWM circuit
over a resistive power controller (common on cheaper motors) is the efficiency. At a 50% level, the PWM
will use about 50% of full power, almost all of which is transferred to the
load, a resistive controller at 50% load power would consume about 71% of full
power, 50% of the power goes to the load and the other 21% is wasted heating the
series resistor, wearing out the motor sooner.
- Deck: 3 /4" (18mm)
- Cushioning: 6-Point Elastomer System - Feels great under your feet, much better for your joints than road running. The Elastomer System literally 'springs' you into your next stride, it is an invigorating feeling.
- Belt: 2-ply 1.7mm - stong, thick.
- Rollers: 2.0"
- Max. User Weight: 275Lbs / 125Kgs - the industry standard in this price range is 250lbs and most of those units only have a 1 to 5 year warranty. The T30 has a lifetime warranty.
- Floor Space: 68.5" x 30" / 170 x 76cm - excellent size for home use. (The Fitnex website says it is 67" x 30" but it measures at 68.5" x 30").
Console 
- Display: 4-window LED display. The console is huge, Fitnex have the experience to know small consoles are difficult to read and operate when your are striding out. The 4 window display also means you don't have to scan thru all the output data to get what your looking for, instead it is available in one of the 4 windows.
- Programs: Manual(1),Cardio(1), Endurance(1),Interval(1), Fat Burning(1) - the fat burning program is a very popular feature
- Console Feedback: Elevation, Laps, Time, Speed, Pulse, Calories and Distance
Special Features
We found many of the standard features to be quite impressive but there also a few special features uncommon in this price range:
- SPEED KEYS - Some treadmills lock you into the programmed speed or you need to regrogram your course or worse yet, navigate the console to bring up the speed function. Speed Keys allow you to adjust the level of the desired speed w/ the touch of a button. This simple and easy feature is great.
- PAUSE/RESET KEY - Most treadmills in this price range won't allow you to stop exercising without either completing the current program or cancelling it. This can be a nuisance when you just want to open the door or grab your water bottle. Thankfully, the T30 has a pause button which allows you to temporarily pause your progress (time & distance) and then be able to pick up exactly where you left off.
- TEXA-GLIDE BELT - Treadmill breakdown and maintanence is a fact of life for some treadmill owners. All of the Fitnex treadmills incorporate Texa-Glide Belt technology, the bonus of this is the belt is maintanence free and never requires lubrication. Remember, this is on a unit with a lifetime warranty, impressive.
- LIFE-TIME WARRANTY - we always think it remarkably brave when a fitness equipment manufacturer offers a life-time warranty b/c this type of equipment inevitable has problems - it takes a lot of confidence to give a lifetime warranty on units sold in this price range. The industry standard is 3 months to 5 years.

Pros:
- Easily the #1 pro is the lifetime warranty
- A close second is the price, we found this unit to be priced about 12-18% below its true market value (except this to change as the Fitnex reputation grows)
- You can buy directly from the manufacturer. Rare in this industry but always better than buying from a retailer because the after sales service is much better (they know the machine better than anyone) and thy will have the cheapest price.
- Huge console with 4 windows
- Continuous 2.2Hp, PWM motor - a 'smart' engine that will last
- Above average elevation
- The running surface is 'springy' and makes you feel like wanting to run faster and longer
- Lube and maintenance free belt
- Very attractive
Cons:
- No reading rack. The large console area is good for putting a magazine but a reading rack would be better.
Overall:
We like this machine, the Fitnex T30 treadmill, very much.
At the moment the Fitnex range of products are a HUGE under-priced bargain.
Fitnex is a very experienced manufacturer of fitness equipment BUT they have no market reputation. This is because they spent the last 20 years making machines for other well-known fitness equipment companies, who happily put their own labels on it.
When we heard Fitnex was getting ready to market under their own label, we knew we had to take a look and as we expected they delivered great stuff that is under-priced.
Under-priced because they have no brand-reputation to attract customers and are forced into a position where they must set their prices low to generate business. This is great news for you and I.
The Fitnex T30 Treadmill is our top pick in this price range. (Impressive considering it is priced at the bottom of the range, last we checked it was $1199)
Sellers:
There are retailers which stock the Fitnex range but we see no advantage or sense in buying from a retailer when it is available directly from the manufacturer.
